Alyssa Cook is a Senior Litigation Paralegal with over a decade of experience supporting complex civil and commercial litigation in both private practice and the public sector. Her background spans a variety of practice areas, including business and contract disputes, professional and product liability, personal injury, and insurance defense. Alyssa plays an integral role in managing all stages of litigation—from initial case development through trial. Her experience includes trial preparation and courtroom support, document drafting and analysis, and eDiscovery coordination. At Thorpe Shwer, Alyssa provides strategic paralegal support on a wide range of matters, working closely with attorneys to ensure efficient and effective case management.
Before joining Thorpe Shwer, Alyssa worked at Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., where she supported a broad spectrum of commercial litigation cases. She also served in the Special Victims Bureau at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, working alongside Assistant District Attorneys on complex and sensitive criminal cases.
Alyssa holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Linguistics from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University.
